Sydney Water Malabar
This design was a joined venture sponsored by Sydney Water to renovate their Malabar WWTP office space. Malabar is the biggest WWTP in the southern hemisphere and our design was a modest homage to the workers of the underground world of our cities. We used a combination of purely artistic images combined with more technical photographs to decorate the space efficiently but also esthetically. We harmonized it with handmade furniture composed of timber and unused and abandoned hardware onsite. We wanted to highlights the transitional nature of the space by juxtaposing industrial furniture and fixtures with natural, living elements. The confluence of round shapes, straight lines, and right angles further cements the feeling of being at a crossroads but without any urgency to move in one direction or another.
Manosque Giono project
A personal request from the town of Manosque in Provence to exhibit with the fantastic sculptor Benoît-Pierre Guigues de Souza in the Romanesque church ND de Romigier. The magnitude and beauty of the space was a humility lesson for me as well as working closely on Jean Giono quotes to illustrate. This exhibit was reproduced for the city of Sisteron in the citadelle Musee Gallo Romain the following year.
